Cenk and Michael Shure discuss the news that President Obama has pulled out of speaking at the 2012 NAACP convention, sending Vice President Biden in his place. Mitt Romney will also speak. The White House has not yet commented on the switch, but Shure says that there has been some conjecture that longtime adviser Valerie Jarrett, who is also black, may be keeping Obama away from events considered “black events.” But will that come at the expense of his base?

While the Romney campaign brags about raising $100 million from rich donors, President Obama’s hitting him hard in battleground states like Ohio and Pennsylvania for outsourcing jobs. And it’s working. Cenk says, “They’re hitting him early and they’re hitting him often. I think it is a great strategy.”
