It’s amazing to me. They bask in their stupidity and their ignorance! I can’t stand these people. Greg, you know why we try to figure out what happened? So that we can prevent the next one. Oklahoma, 168 people killed. All that carnage and it’s a squirt gun. But if a Muslim does it, it’s evil. Greg Gutfeld, the genius has figured it out without even looking into why.
Cenk Uygur: Fox News Basks in its Own Ignorance
Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld said comparing Muslim crimes to Christian crimes is “like comparing Hurricane Katrina to a squirt gun.” Cenk does a quick rundown of the atrocious crimes committed by Christians and calls out Fox News for being racist (again) (of couuuuuuuuurse).
Fox News Credibility At ‘Record Low’
Fox News 101
Cenk slams Fox News for purposefully taking President Obama’s “you didn’t build that” comment from a recent speech about job creation in Boston out of context. Fox News ran 42 segments about Obama “insulting” the work of small businesses. “It’s not to say that government does everything,” Cenk says. “But wait a minute, you liars, he didn’t say that. He said that we have to work together to make sure that we can achieve together.”
Cenk talks to GlobalGrind.com editor-in-chief Michael Skolnik, who discovered that in George Zimmerman’s jailhouse tapes he references someone he calls “S.H.” who might help pay for his defense. Could it be Sean Hannity, who has had off-the-record conversations with Zimmerman before? Fox News denied that Hannity has contributed financially, but Skolnik says a “rock solid source” confirms at least some of the story.
Investigative reporter John Stossel went undercover as a homeless man for a few hours, and he’s using that as a basis for why people shouldn’t give money to the poor. Cenk calls Stossel out for his appearance on FOX & Friends, where he says that donating to the poor relays means donating to alcoholism. “Do some homeless people have addiction problems? Of course! We’re not being unrealistic here,” Cenk says. “But does that mean you should condemn all of them?”
Fox News commentator Michelle Malkin attacks Michelle Obama for her work on — get this — health issues and nutrition. Cenk asks the TYT gang whether Malkin should join the ranks of one other conservative commentator who shall not be named (ahem, Ann Coulter) and be banned from any mention on the show. What do you think?
“A New Orleans women’s health organization was destroyed last week by an unknown arsonist, becoming the latest target of attacks on women’s health clinics in the south. The organization, Women With A Vision, was likely singled out because it offers AIDS prevention help, HIV testing, and substance abuse assistance to sex workers, transgender women, poor women, and women of color. The clinic also does community outreach and education on those issues…”.* Ana Kasparian and Cenk Uygur discuss on The Young Turks. Why is the mainstream media unwilling to refer to these incidents as domestic terrorism? Is Fox News host Bill O’Reilly part of the problem for having guests like Lila Rose (founder of the ‘pro-life’ group Live Action) on?
Cenk, Ana Kasparian, Michael Shure, Jayar Jackson and Jimmy Dore talk about the threat of “black liberation theology,” as frequently referenced by Fox News when linking Rev. Jeremiah Wright to President Obama. “They assume that their viewers — and in most cases it’s true — are not going to do their research on black liberation theology. They’re just going to hear that phrase and freak out,” Kasparian says.
